GEMZ creates hair jewelry for every occasion that will last a lifetime and is reusable and unique.

Accompanying the launch the gallery is presenting photographs of SYMBIOSIS the campaign shot by photographer and artist Bodi Samba.

GEMZ conceptualized each element and interpreted it as a certain hairstyle with customized hair jewelry. The observer sees four persons „in their element“ reimagining the connection to as well as the expression of earth, water, wind and fire.

Disrupted visions, intense colors, and strong poses in the photography - these images show a glimpse of the various ways of expression that hair and jewelry hold and how they can be translated into art - a symbiosis between three different worlds.

Kiala Kanzi and Fily Mihan – the founders of GEMZ set a statement with their jewelry. Valuing cultural roots, individualism, community and sustainability alike while opening the dialogue about the interconnectedness of different art forms.
